Plan of the photo workshop
5 hours a day, 9:30 to 12:00 and 1:30 to 4:00 plus time for selection of photos and individual consultation with teacher.
Day 1: Learning essential settings of your DSLR camera.
Day 2: Trip A - capturing the atmosphere of the small town, the picturesque Cadaques.
Day 3: Exposure, creative use of depth of field and photographing motion.
Day 4: Trip B - landscape of Catalonia, Parque Nacional Aiguamolls.
Day 5: Mastering colours and composition.
Day 6: Trip C - Barcelona, photographing architecture and people.
Day 7: Lighting as a language of photography.
Day 8: Trip D - Mediterranean beach including swimsuit session with a model.
Day 9: Review, presentation and critique of student's favorite photos. Party.

ENCHANTED CATALONIA IN YOUR LENS!
PRACTICAL DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
for beginners and advanced beginners

INSTRUCTOR: Andrew Kielbowicz
We present you with the brilliant combination of the charm of Costa Brava – its most impressive part, attached to the National Park Cap de Creus, the Bay of Roses – and passion for photography, shared with you by Andrew Kielbowicz, a Polish-Canadian professional photographer with over 30 years of experience. In the exquisite scenery of Spanish Catalonia you will learn how to comfortably use the crucial features of your Digital SLR camera to capture the beauty of the landscape, architecture and street life of picturesque towns and their people. You will also be introduced to its culture, cuisine and climate.
Have you always wanted to know how to capture better images of places and sceneries, develop skills to overcome your shyness when photographing people while traveling, learn effective rules of composition and lighting, and obtain practical professional tips on how to photograph people and nature? Then this workshop is for you!
It will include 10 classes of 2.5 hours each in the the hotel and vicinities and four half-day guided photo tours to practice your skills under the helpful guidance of your instructor.
Equipment required: Digital SLR camera with kit lens and extra tele zoom lens, both equipped with lens hoods (like Nikon D3100 or Sony Alpha 55).
Extended zoom compact camera with manual controls is also acceptable (like Panasonic Lumix FZ100 or Canon G12).
All instruction and photo-related guidance will be held exclusively in English.
Spanish translator available during our photo trips.
Maximum number of students: 10
Minimum required: 5
Fee:
Half Board: 900 € / person.
Deposit, refunds, and cancellations:
€ 400 deposit is required at the time of registration.
Reminder of € 600 has to be paid by May 16, 2011.
50% of your deposit will be returned if you decide to cancel before May 2, 2011.
Your deposit is non-refundable after May 2, 2011
In case of course cancellation by unexpected reasons only the full amount of your payment we have received will be returned to you.

* 9 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 4 dinners
